Ink Refill Quality FAQ

How do I know that the refilled ink cartridge will work in my printer?

Refill center testing can verify your integrated ink cartridge (i.e. those found in all 2-cartridge based printer models) is electrically firing properly and that ink is flowing through the nozzles correctly.  On the other hand, cartridges from 4, 5, & 6 ink-cartridge based printer models do not require electrical nozzle testing since the permanent or semi-permanent printhead inside the printer controls the ink drop firing.

Cartridge Testing (IPH)

How much ink do I get in a refill?

Ink refilling will closely match, and in most cases significantly exceed, the amount of ink you get when you buy a new cartridge.  Refilled cartridges typically yield up to 20% more ink than what the original ink manufacturer provides.

Fill and Yield-2

Is the ink the same quality as an original HP, Canon, Epson, Lexmark or Dell cartridge?

Ink quality does make a difference in your print quality, that’s why we do not use Universal Ink in our refill solution. We use cartridge specific ink to match OEM colors and to ensure the highest possible output quality for each cartridge type.

Will I get similar results to a new cartridge?

Yes, the results you will get from a refilled cartridge will closely match OEM.  For most consumers, there will be no significant difference in everyday printing quality.  Refilling your cartridge is an easy and cost effective way of supplying your printer with ink. Whether printing with new or refilled cartridges, always use inkjet specific paper for best printing results.

What if there is a problem with my cartridge and it can’t be refilled?

Many refill centers provide the option of recycling the cartridge for you. We recommend that you purchase a new original/genuine manufacturer’s ink cartridge and bring it in for a refill the next time you run out of ink.
